“HABIB” just the sound of the name makes you feel that yes, the album is going to be great. Adding the name “FERDOUS WAHID” takes the expectations of the album to another level.
Habib Wahid and father Ferdous wahid come together for the first time in an album. An album which should have come a long time ago has come “Abosheshe…At last” For the people who say that all the tracks by Habib sound same on the point of tune and say that Habib has lost the charm in his music…This album is the best answer to them.
The cover of the album itself can make you buy the album. The design and camera work was excellent.
The album kicks off with the track “Keno amon hoy”. An awesome song, no doubt… Lyrics, music, tune – EXCELLENT. My marking for the song is 9 out of 10
Then comes “Fiire esho na”……… Remember the classic Din gelo? Some say that there can’t be a song like Din Gelo again. Some say it is the best song by Habib till date. Fiire esho na isn’t equal or better then Din gelo but you can put this song after Din Gelo as one of the best songs by Habib. Excellent lyrics and composition. This song can take you to another world…Trust me! My marking for the song is 10 out of 10.
The third track… “Neel jochona” Excellent music with a folkish touch, Ferdous Wahid’s sung the song with perfection. His voice sounds young. My marking is 8.5 out of 10.
“Dukkho chuwe dekho” the fourth track. Nice lyrics, Catchy music. A song that won’t be an instant hit but, after a few plays the listener will definitely like it. My marking is 7.5 out of 10.
Then Habib takes over and comes with ‘chalte chalte” Habib’s composition was superb in this song. This is the perfect song to describe LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. My marking is 8.5 out of 10.
The next two tracks “Katena mayabi raat” and “Valo lage” have also been composed well. My markings are: Katena mayabi raat – 8 out of 10. Valo lage – 7 out of 10.
“Cokhe cokhe” was a decent song. Good music but the tune was not so attractive. My making is 6 out of 10.
The Instrumental track was also very good.
On the whole, “Abosheshe” is a must buy. Undoubtedly, the best album of the year. No one can be disappointed by this album. Now the eyes are going to be on Habib’s next project. Is he going to introduce another new face or is it going to be his 3rd solo album or the highly anticipated “Habib with Legends”? Only time will tell but we surely know, whatever the album is, Habib will give his best.
My Rating for the album is |
